Buckman Tavern

Buckman
Built in 1690, Buckman Tavern was the first public house in Lexington, MA.  After completing a thorough energy assessment, Greenstamp began the work of bringing the building – now a museum — to contemporary compliance standards.  Given the age and the building practices used in the 1600s, the Greenstamp team faced many challenges during the insulation planning and  installation phases. With hard work and care,  Greenstamp played a role in preserving this historic landmark as an important part of American history, and a popular destination. (Insulation historic retrofit)

Alvah Kittredge House

Historic Upgrade
This historic home is located in Boston. The Greek Revival was built in 1836 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.  After being unoccupied for decades, Historic Boston began redeveloping the home in 2013.  Greenstamp was hired to design and install the insulation, while maintaining the historical structure.  The team successfully overcame the variety of challenges presented in an unmaintained 175 year old home. Greenstamp completed the insulation project while maintaining the design integrity of the home. (Insulation historical retrofit)

Lyman Estate

Historic Project
The Lyman Estate is a historic country house located in Waltham, MA. It is now owned by the nonprofit Historic New England. Built on 37 acres, the estate is a popular New England destination and a year-round venue for weddings and other large events.  Greenstamp was hired to increase the efficiency of the estate’s heating and cooling systems.  After a rigorous energy assessment, the team brought the systems and the estate’s energy consumption up to the present day codes. Scotch Pine Development

Renovation Upgrades
These beautifully renovated, gracious Colonial homes on the Peirce Estates are located in Wellesley, MA.  The homes on Scotch Pine Road required the finest workmanship for every item in the home, given the discerning clientele they were attracting.  Naturally, the architect and builder contacted Greenstamp.  Greenstamp designed and installed insulation for heating and cooling, acoustics, as well as inside pools and hot tubs. (Insulation in new construction)

Needham Town Hall

Municipal Upgrade
Needham Town Hall was built in 1902.  Located on the Common, the Town Hall remains the most enduring and recognizable image of Needham.  Over the past century, the Town Hall  exterior has not changed. Inside, however, many changes have been made to meet the increasing complexity of Needham’s modern civic life. Greenstamp has been a partner with the Town of Needham for their insulation needs. HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital

Health Facility Renovation
As part of the redevelopment of the Ludlow Mills project, Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Western Massachusetts opened the new $26 million facility in December 2013.  Private rooms and modern therapeutic facilities occupy the new 74,000 square foot facility.  The builder hired Greenstamp to insulate and install the exterior air barrier system. (Insulation renovation, energy efficiency)

St. Vincent’s Hospital

Health Facility Upgrade
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is a licensed 473-bed community teaching and referral hospital. The hospital opened its doors in 1905.  Renovations and additional service facilities were completed in 2010.  As part of an extensive renovation, the Greenstamp team installed spray foam insulation for the entire building, helping it to become one of the most modern medical facilities in Connecticut. (Insulation renovation, energy efficiency)

InterContinental Residences

One of Boston’s premier Waterfront properties, the residences had an issue with the internal piping. Greenstamp was brought in to provide its expertise in improving and solving a pipe breaking and freezing issue.  The property management firm and unit owners relied on Greenstamp’s expertise to assess and implement a long-term solution for the entire building. (Insulation, energy efficiency)

Cambridge Friends School

The Cambridge Friends School recently contacted Greenstamp through their general contractor for a solution to their insulation needs.  The staff was cold, the children were cold and something had to be done.  The Greenstamp experts came up with a plan to make the building more energy efficient.  The faculty and students immediately noticed that their comfort level changed dramatically for the better.
